NFTY-OV Spring Kallah is a weekend of learning, growing, laughing, and building meaningful relationships with other Reform Jewish teens. Whether it's your first event or fifteenth, we welcome you to join our community. This event is open to all 9th-12th graders. In addition 8th graders from Rockdale Temple along with 8th graders who attended JYG Kallah will be invited and allowed to attend Spring Kallah.
We have a jam packed schedule for the entire weekend, complete with, exciting, interactive programming planned and lead by the local TYG leadership, elections and installment of new Regional Board, and NFTY Prom with Havdalah/Closing Circle where we send off our Seniors and welcome the next generation of NFTYites!. Due to the busy nature of the weekend, the event will start promptly at 4:30pm (EST) on Thursday, April 20th and end at 10:30am (EST) on Sunday, April 23rd.
WE NEED HOST FAMILIES:
It is expected that families that live within 30 minutes of Rockdale Temple will volunteer as host homes. To learn more about the requirements for housing and to sign up, please go to https://ohiovalley.nfty.org/housing/.

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 9 to 12 who is interested in a Reform Jewish experience. This event is also open to 8th graders from Rockdale Temple along with 8th graders who attended JYG Kallah.
Meals are included in the cost of the event.
Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. Fees are set at a full package rate and unfortunately we cannot prorate registration.
Travel is arranged by your local congregation/temple youth group advisor. Please be in touch with them directly to determine your travel or if you have any travel related questions.
Every participant must travel to/from the event with an adult over the age of 21 (advisor, parent/guardian), including to and from the bus stop. No participants may drive themselves to, from, or during the event. This is NFTY policy to ensure the safety and well-being of our teens.
By Car: If you are being dropped off/picked up by an adult, please plan to be dropped off on Thursday between 4:30-5:00 at Rockdale Temple (8501 Ridge Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236) and picked up at 10:30am on Sunday at French Park (3012 Section Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237). Please be on time.
Further information will be sent 1 week before the event that will include important information regarding the event as well as a complete packing list.
A more detailed packing list will be in your final confirmation email the week prior to the event. In the meantime, please use the following.

Warmer clothes (jacket, hoodie, sweats)
Friday Night Shabbat attire (dressy casual)

Day Bag/Backpack for carrying loose items
Sleeping bag (or sheets and a blanket) and pillow
Towel and Toiletries (shampoo, toothbrush/paste, hairbrush, etc.)
Medication (you are responsible for your own medication)
Money for Shuk (OV store) so you can buy some swag
Small Gift for Host Home (encouraged)
Please do not bring anything valuable as NFTY is not responsible for any personal belongings.
If you need to cancel, the registration fees you paid will be refunded as follows:
Through March 30, 2016 – 90%
Through April 6, 2017 – 75%
Through April 13, 2017 – 50%
After April 13, 2017 we will not be able to issue any refunds for cancellation. If you have a documented medical emergency and must cancel after April 13, 2017 you will be refunded 75% of the registration fees you paid.
All cancellation must be in writing. We will accept cancellations by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept cancellations over the phone. Please allow up to six weeks after the conclusion of the event for your refund to be processed.
