  • I was very lucky that I found NFTY-OV: A Magical Community

Ruth Y  is a sophomore from Columbus, Indiana. She participates in NFTY-OV and serves on her local Temple Youth Group Board as Programming Vice President.   I come from a very small congregation in south central Indiana. When most people think of a “small congregation,” they imagine a synagogue with 50-100 families. My congregation, Sha’arei

  • Strong As Stone

It was such a surreal feeling as I sat in the senior circle of my final NFTY event. I can’t help but think back to the person I was at my first event; just a little eighth grader who had no idea what lie ahead of me.

I’ve experienced this first hand a couple of times already, and to say the least there’s only so much you can do to prepare. I particularly experienced this at NFTY-OV’s Leadership Training Kallah (LTK).

  • Thank You for Being My Brother’s Keeper

The following is a transcript of a speech delivered during Saturday morning services by Zak Kadish, NFTY Ohio Valley Programming Vice President, at NFTY Mechina last week.
356 days ago, the lives of my brother Ethan Kadish, my family, and myself were changed forever by a freak weather incident, a bolt out of the blue. When my brother was struck by lightning, our entire world was shattered, replaced by an impermeable darkness and fear for the future.
