NFTY Ohio Valley Gives Back Bracelet Campaign

This year, NFTY Ohio Valley is focusing on increasing ways to give back to our communities.  At Leadership Training Kallah, we introduced a new bracelet campaign, where we sell silicon bracelets of different colors to raise awareness and funds to support causes and organizations we are passionate about. This is our NFTY Ohio Valley Gives Back Bracelet Campaign.

Each color bracelet pairs with a different cause our region has identified as something we care about. Teens get the chance to vote with their dollars and decide which causes they want to support. The proceeds of each bracelet sold go to support the following organizations:

Gun Violence Prevention (orange)Everytown for Gun Safety is a movement of Americans working together to end gun violence and build safer communities.

Sexual Violence Prevention (teal)RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and leading authority on sexual violence. Their team works together to provided best-in-class services for survivors, inform and educate the nation about sexual violence, and improve public policy and criminal justice response to sexual violence.

NFTY Ohio Valley Scholarship Fund (purple) – NFTY is a movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, we pursue, tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism.  Our scholarship fund helps make sure every Reform Jewish teen who wishes to engage in our community is able to do so.

Rotation (rainbow) – For our first event, in Dayton, Ohio, this bracelet supported the Dayton LGBT Center. They help create programs that enhance the lives of sexual minorities in Dayton and the Miami Valley. The organization this bracelet supports will change each event to support a local cause in the community we are visiting.

We will be introducing more bracelets and more causes throughout the year.  Want to suggest a new organization for us to support? Fill out this form!
